Chemical Peel
A cosmetic procedure where a chemical solution is applied to the skin to exfoliate and remove damaged outer layers, revealing smoother, brighter, and more youthful-looking skin underneath, addressing concerns like wrinkles, discolouration, acne, and scars by promoting new skin growth and collagen production.
Common Application: Face, neck, décolletage
Skin Goals: Improves texture, acne scars, fine lines, wrinkles, sun damage and pigmentation issues
Procedure Time: Varies, ie. 15-60 minutes depending on the size of the area being treated
Downtime: Usually no downtime but depends on the acid used and desired results, with deeper peels offering more dramatic changes but longer recovery time
Why we like it: The technician can tailor the formula to the specific needs of the patient/area being treated and results can be seen immediately.
