Plexr Plus Shower Treatments
The Plexr Plus Shower treatment utilizes plasma technology to create thousands of Nano ablative microchannels in the skin, enhancing collagen production and skin regeneration. This is achieved using a triangular-shaped tip, with the widest point gliding swiftly across the skin's surface. The facial area is typically divided into 10 sections, with each section treated for up to 3 minutes, depending on the energy level applied. This technique focuses on improving skin hydration, tone, texture, and enhancing the absorption of hand selected post treatment serums and active ingredients, resulting in smoother, more youthful-looking skin with minimal downtime. Patients will see a noticeable lift immediately post treatment.
Treatment Overview: The non-ablative modality of Plexr is designed to spread many Nano-plasma bolts all over the skin during the treatment without causing burns or scabs. This modality is used for two main indications:
Biostimulation of the skin and activation of fibroblast cells by causing micro holes / micro-wounds in the skin surface just like micro-needling, but instead of a needle, Plexr uses nano plasma bolts. It is painless and does not damage, puncture or burn the skin. Therefore, it is the best option before events, while when applied as a protocol, has long-term results.
Transdermal Active Ingredient Delivery is the second method that Nano ablative Plexr helps with. After Plexr shower treatment, the skin is open to absorb the prescribed needed post treatment of choice for your client. After the Non-Ablative Plexr , a serum will be applied which will rapidly absorb into your skin.
Often referred to as the no-needle microneedling. There are 3 types of shower treatments, The Red Carpet Facial, The Rockstar Treatment (trademarked by Paula Abdul and Dr. Tess Mauricio) and the Glass Lift Treatment (first made famous in Korea).
1. The Red Carpet Facial
Our Red Carpet Facial with Plexr Plus Shower is a refined, advanced skin revitalization treatment designed to instantly refresh and illuminate the complexion. Using controlled plasma energy combined with hyaluronic, peptide or Act O’Firm biostimulant serum , the facial gently stimulates surface renewal and collagen activity to improve texture, tone, and overall radiance, without significant downtime.
Ideal before special events or whenever your skin needs visible refinement, this treatment supports smoother texture, tighter appearance, and a naturally luminous finish. The result is skin that looks polished, balanced, and camera-ready, never overdone.
2. The Rockstar Treatment
The Rock Star Treatment with Plexr Plus Shower is an advanced plasma skin rejuvenation experience designed for deeper texture refinement and visible skin renewal. Using controlled plasma energy + approved exosomes post treatment (or Act O’Reverse Biostimulant serum, this treatment stimulates collagen activity while improving tone, surface irregularities, and overall skin clarity.
Ideal for clients seeking more noticeable refinement than a traditional facial, The Rock Star Treatment delivers smoother, brighter, and more resilient skin, while maintaining a natural, balanced appearance. Each treatment is carefully customized to your skin’s condition and long-term goals.
3. The Glass Lift Treatment
The Plexr Shower with “Botox/Act O’Reverse Biostimulant serum” combined, applied topically post-treatment.
The Plexr Glass-Lift Facial is a combination cosmetic treatment that immediately creates tighter, firmer glass like. Plasma energy’s biostimulatory effect encourages collagen and elasti production, giving patients extra long-lasting results. The treatment uses the Plexer Plus Shower tip, a topical solution of Botulinum Toxin (“Micro-Botox”) and Act O’Reverse, a specialized blend of Hyaluronic Acid (HA), Amino Acids, and Vitamin C. Act-O-Reverse gradually renews damaged and lost collagen, the protein which develops the framework to support cells for results that can last up to 24 months, long after the micro tox has worn off. It targets the primary cause of facial aging, not just the symptoms.
Plasma energy creates microchannels to deliver the combination of Botulinum Toxin and Act-O-Reverse. Results are immediate, with maximal effects apparent 7-10 days post treatment. The skin has enhanced glow, appears lifted, and has more improvement in fine lines and wrinkles.
Note: All have a treatment time of 30-45 min. The only difference between the 3 treatments is the post topical treatment.
Uses for Plexr Plus Shower:
Non-surgical lift
Wrinkle reduction and skin tightening (face, neck, sides of face)
Lines around the mouth (perioral or smoker’s lines)
Skin discolouration and pigmentation issues
Procedure Time: 30-45 minutes
Downtime: Minimal
Post-Treatment Care Instructions: The skin will turn red right after a Nano ablative Plexr plus shower treatment. This redness starts to fade right after the treatment is done and is significantly reduced when using a post topical treatment like biostimulants, exosomes or PRP/PRF. Slight redness can last from a few hours up to two days, depending on skin sensitivity and energy used. In most cases, there won't be any scabs, or at most a few tiny dots may be noticeable on the treated skin area with stronger treatments.
Cleansing: 24 hours post-treatment, use a gentle gel cleanser to clean the skin and repeat this twice a day for a few days.
Moisturizing & Nourishing the Skin: Dry (pat) the skin after cleansing. Apply the appropriate serum to the treated skin to accelerate the healing and maximize the results. Repeat 2 times daily for 5 to 15 days after your treatment. If you have a dry skin type, apply a barrier product lock hydration.
For best results, 3 sessions are recommended, with 2-4 weeks between treatments, based on personal skincare treatment regime. Then maintenance treatments to follow every 3-6 months.
Inform your clinician of all medications, supplements, and active skincare.
Notify your technician if you take antibiotics, blood thinners, Accutane, or have a history of cold sores.
Avoid any kind of tanning (spray tanning, sun tanning and tanning beds) for 4 weeks prior to your treatment.
For pigmentation-prone skin (Fitzpatrick Skin Type IV–VI), begin special prep 3 weeks prior.
Areas to be treated should be free from recent skin resurfacing treatments, toxins, fillers, retinols, active ingredients, and/or chemical peels for at least 7–14 days prior to your appointment, unless otherwise discussed with your technician.
Daily sunscreen with SPF 40 or higher must be applied every day for at least 30 days before treatment. Apply sunscreen first thing in the morning and reapply in the afternoon as needed.
Lastly, you may feel like social distancing following your treatment (esp. after a non-surgical blepharoplasty, or eyelid lift) so you may want to run errands and buy groceries prior to your treatment.
Pre-Treatment Preparations
The Plexr device creates tiny “carbon dust” scabs that fall off naturally within 6–10 days. Do not rub or pick the treated area(s)
Do not cleanse the treated area(s) for 96 hours, this includes water and steam. Keep the area dry.
On the evening of your treatment day, reapply the Aquafora before bed; ensure you are sleeping on clean pillowcases and bedding.
Sleep on your back, to ensure pillow and sheets do not stick to treated area.
Apply Cytoderma followed by a mineral-based sunscreen. Re-apply the sunscreen 2-3 times per day, even when inside during the day; indoor lighting (TV, Monitor, Tablets, overhead lighting, etc.) can cause risk of pigmentation on new healing skin.
If at any point, the skin feels too dry, apply a thin layer of Aquafora.
Continue to drink a minimum of 2 cups of electrolytes per day for 3 days post-treatment.
Do not shave or apply make-up until the treated area has completely peeled.
After 96 hours, cleanse face, morning and night, with a mild gentle cleanser, using the pat and splash method.
Continue this process until the treated area has peeled.
Once the treated area has peeled, it is important to continue applying the mineral based sunscreen 2-3 times per day, even when inside.
Additional Considerations:
Do not apply active products (ie. retinol, Vit C, etc.) for 60 days.
No saunas, hot tubs, swimming pools, hot steam showers, or working out for 72 hours if medium energy used during treatment, or 1 week if high energy used
Keep pets off the bed during the healing process, if possible
Day of Treatment
Avoid caffeinated beverages such as coffee or tea at least 4 hours prior to your appointment.
Arrive to your appointment with a clean face and no makeup, false eye-lashes or contact lenses
Depending on the treatment, a topical numbing agent may be applied to your treatment area(s) and covered with a thin layer of plastic and/or a hydrating mask
You may experience a “burning” or “stinging” sensation in the treated area(s) immediately after treatment and up to 24 hours after treatment. This is the normal sensation of heat exiting the skin
You may experience some mild to moderate swelling to the treated area(s). Expect moderate/excessive swelling around the eyes. An antihistamine, such as Benadryl, can help to reduce swelling and expedite the healing process. This can be taken for 2-3 days, or as you deem necessary
Do not apply makeup or any creams, serums or ointments following your treatment unless provided or recommended by your museSKNclinic technician, ie. Cytoderma, Aquafora, SPF
If you had any areas on your face treated, it is recommended that you sleep on your back, with your head elevated to minimize swelling
Most importantly, DO NOT PICK the treated area(s)

FAQ’S
-
Plexr Plasma is a non-surgical aesthetic treatment that uses controlled plasma energy to lift, tighten, and resurface the skin. The technology creates a small, focused arc of plasma between the device and the skin, which stimulates micro-contraction and natural collagen production. Plexr is often used for concerns such as mild skin laxity, hooded eyelids, fine lines, and small surface irregularities.
-
Plexr works by delivering a safe, controlled burst of plasma energy just above the skin’s surface. This energy causes a precise sublimation of the superficial layer, prompting the skin to tighten and regenerate without cutting or suturing. The deeper layers remain intact, which reduces the risk of scarring and allows for a shorter recovery time compared to surgical procedures.
-
Plexr Plasma is most commonly used on delicate and small treatment areas, including the upper and lower eyelids, crow’s feet, brow area, and fine lines around the mouth. It can also be used on small skin irregularities such as mild skin tags or small fibromas. Treatment areas are chosen based on careful skin assessment and personalized treatment planning.
-
Most clients describe Plexr Plasma as a well-tolerated sensation rather than painful. Topical anesthetic is typically applied before treatment to enhance comfort. Sensations may include warmth or mild pressure, but discomfort is generally mild and temporary. Your clinician will ensure your comfort throughout the session.
-
Treatment time varies depending on the size and number of areas being addressed, but most sessions take between 15 to 45 minutes. This includes preparation, application of topical anesthetic, and the treatment itself. A personalized consultation will provide a more accurate estimate based on your specific needs.
-
Recovery from Plexr Plasma is generally shorter and gentler compared to surgical alternatives. You may experience small, controlled crusting or mild redness at the treatment sites, which typically resolves within 5 to 10 days. Your provider will offer detailed aftercare instructions to support smooth healing and optimal results.
-
Initial improvements may be noticeable within a few days as the skin begins its response to treatment. Full results usually become more visible over 4 to 8 weeks as collagen remodelling progresses and the skin continues to tighten and refine. Results are designed to look natural and balanced.
-
Results from Plexr Plasma are typically long-lasting, often maintained for up to several years before a touch-up may be desired. Longevity depends on factors such as your age, skin quality, and lifestyle. Maintenance sessions can help sustain the outcomes over time.
-
When performed by a trained and experienced professional, Plexr Plasma is considered a safe non-surgical option for appropriate candidates. Because the treatment targets only the superficial skin layer, the risk of scarring is significantly lower than with traditional surgery. A thorough consultation ensures that Plexr is suitable for your individual skin needs.
-
Ideal candidates are individuals with mild to moderate skin laxity, early signs of aging, or specific localized concerns like hooded eyelids or fine lines who prefer non-surgical options. Good candidates have realistic expectations and are committed to following aftercare guidelines. A personalized consultation is essential to determine if Plexr is the right choice for your goals.
